Shedeur Sanders was the most impressive rookie player this year

Black Monday 2026 has claimed another victim: two-time Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski. After a disappointing 5-12 season, the Cleveland Browns are moving on, but this coaching change creates a massive problem for rookie QB Shedeur Sanders. In this video, we break down why losing Stefanski—the man who navigated Shedeur’s transition to the NFL—effectively kills his chances for the Offensive Rookie of the Year (OROY) award. With only 7 starts, 1,400 yards, and 7 TDs, Shedeur needed a strong, stable system to close the gap. Now, he faces a new regime that isn't tied to his success and might even look for a new QB in the 2026 draft.
